The TFI Go app allows you to buy Adult, Young Adult/Student & Child tickets directly from your phone for all Bus Éireann Commuter, Local, City & Town public services in the Republic of Ireland. Your ticket is downloaded to the app and can be used to travel straight away. No need for printing, just activate before each journey and show your driver while boarding.

For Commuter and Local services, Single, 2 Journey & 10 Journey tickets may be purchased for all services by route and origin/destination. In addition, Cork (Green) Zone and Greater Dublin Area 24hr and 7 Day Zonal tickets may be purchased:

Select Adult or Adult, Young Adult/Student & Child as appropriate under the ‘Passenger’ option on the menu
Select Single, 2 Journey or 10 Journey under the ‘Type’ option on the menu
Select your route number under the ‘Route’ option on the menu
Select your origin and destination under the ‘From’ and ‘To’ options on the menu
Alternatively, instead of a route number, select one of the unlimited travel Cork (Green) or Greater Dublin Area Zonal 24hr or 7 Day Zonal tickets available under the ‘Type’ and ‘Zone’ options on the menu e.g. Cork 24 hr Zonal/Cork – Green Zone, Dublin 7 Day Zonal/Dublin – Blue Zone etc.

For City services, Single, 2 Journey & 10 Journey zonal ticket types and unlimited travel Red Zone 24hr and 7 Day zonal ticket types may be purchased for travel anywhere within the Cork, Galway, Limerick or Waterford City Red Zones:

Select Adult or Adult, Young Adult/Student & Child as appropriate under the ‘Passenger’ option on the menu
Select the appropriate city zone ticket type under the ‘Type’ option on the menu e.g. Cork Single Zonal, Galway 2 Journey Zonal etc.
Alternatively, select one of the unlimited travel 24hr or 7 Day City Red Zonal tickets available under the ‘Type’ options on the menu e.g. Limerick 24 hr Zonal, Waterford 7 Day Zonal etc.

For Town services, Single, 2 Journey and 10 Journey Zonal ticket types may be purchased for travel anywhere within the Athlone, Balbriggan, Drogheda, Dundalk, Navan or Sligo Town Zones as follows:

Select Adult, Young Adult/Student & Child as appropriate under the ‘Passenger’ option on the menu
Select the appropriate town zone ticket type under the ‘Type’ option on the menu e.g. Athlone Single Zonal, Balbriggan 2 Journey Zonal etc.

TFI Go App mTickets

Purchased mTickets can only be used by the registered TFI Go Account Holder who purchased them. mTickets cannot be shared for use by another passenger.

Tickets are valid for 28 days after purchase.

Claims for refunds in respect of inactivated tickets will be considered solely at the discretion of TFI Go and may be subject to administration fees. Any refund claims must be made within the 28 day validity period from date of initial ticket purchase. No refunds will be made on expired, activated or partially used tickets in any circumstances.
